Illegal migrants are sent to work at Sting's Italian vineyard

A Tuscan vineyard owned by musician, Sting, has been under-paying illegal migrants to work as labourers picking grapes and olives from the estate.A police investigation has revealed that a gang had been sending migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to work in what has been described as ‘inhumane and slave-like’ conditions.The workers, who were reportedly being paid £3.60 an hour, were harvesting the grapes at the Il Palagio estate that have been used to produce the singer’s award-winning wines.It is understood that Italian police are investigating 13 suspects who are thought to have been involved in the gang supplying the workers.

La birra tricolore Peroni ora batte bandiera giapponese. Infatti il gruppo saluta SABMiller ed entra ufficialmente a fare parte del gruppo Asahi Europe, di cui fanno parte anche i brand Royal Grolsch e Meantime Breweries. Dopo quasi un anno di trattative, la bionda tricolore viene quindi ceduta alla compagnia giapponese da parte di AB InBev, che potrà così completare l'acquisizione di SABMiller. Questo passaggio - si legge in una nota della società - segna per la storica azienda birraria italiana “un momento importante, non solo a dimostrazione del valore dei suoi marchi, ma anche a testimonianza di nuove prospettive di sviluppo internazionale e di crescita”. Birra Peroni ha infatti chiuso il bilancio al 31 marzo 2016 con 360 milioni di ricavi e un utile di 21,5 milioni.

Napolitaanse pizza’sOndertussen raakte bekend er op de Zuidboulevard een pizzeria met plaats voor veertig gasten komt. Dieter Degryse (37) en zijn vriendin Naomi Vandeviaene (29) uit Oeselgem breiden zo hun concept uit met een mobiele pizzaoven waarmee ze sinds april naar feesten trekken. In de Pizz'Arti kan je uitsluitend terecht voor Napolitaanse pizza’s. “Bij zulke pizza’s zijn de dunne korst en de luchtigheid typisch. Alles gebeurt handmatig, zo rollen we de pizza’s zelf uit en gebruiken we geen deegrollen.” Voor het koppel is het een logische keuze om in Waregem een zaak te openen. “Ik ben afkomstig van Waregem en het kriebelde al lang om terug te keren”, zegt Dieter. “Bovendien is de Zuidboulevard een prachtig project met veel parking, wat altijd een meerwaarde is.”
