Terremoto Roma: crepe in basilica San Paolo, chiusa - Lazio

Per “verifiche tecniche” dopo il terremoto, il servizio sulla metro A, B e B1 di Roma è “momentaneamente sospeso”. Lo annuncia il profilo Twitter di Atac, la municipalizzata dei trasporti di Roma. Sulla metro C si segnalano “lievi ritardi” per lo stesso motivo. Verifiche sono in corso sul Colosseo e sull'intera area archeologica di Roma in seguito al terremoto che questa mattina ha colpito il centro Italia. Al momento non si riscontrano conseguenze.Crepe e cornicioni caduti nella basilica di San Paolo a Roma in seguito al terremoto avvertito stamattina. Secondo quanto si è appreso, la basilica è stata chiusa per effettuare le verifiche. Segnalato anche il distacco di uno dei supporti che tiene un grosso candelabro. Sul posto vigili del fuoco e polizia.

De beving had een kracht van 6,5 en werd gevoeld in grote delen van Italië.Midden-Italië is opnieuw getroffen door een zware aardbeving. De beving had volgens het Italiaanse seismologisch instituut een kracht van 6,5. Het is nog niet bekend of er doden zijn. Het getroffen gebied ligt opnieuw rond de stad Perugia in Umbrië. De klap was te voelen tot in Napels in het zuiden en Triëst in het uiterste noordoosten van Italië. Veel gebouwen hebben zware schade opgelopen. In Norcia, iets ten zuidoosten van Perugia, is de kathedraal grotendeels ingestort. Er waren enorme stofwolken. Op de Italiaanse televisie is te zien dat mensen uit straatjes van de stad naar het plein voor de kathedraal komen. Enkele mensen hebben lichte verwondingen. Mensen zitten geknield op straat te bidden. De burgemeester van Ussita, een dorp van 430 inwoners, zei tegen persbureau Ansa dat in zijn dorp alles is ingestort. Er was al veel schade na de aardbeving van eerder deze week. “Ik zie een grote rookpluim, het is een ramp. Ik heb in de auto geslapen en de hel gezien.”

Pochi minuti fa, intorno alle 07:40, una nuova forte scossa di terremoto ha fatto tremare gran parte d’Italia: l’epicentro è stato ancora una volta sull’Appennino, secondo il Centro Sismico Euro Mediterraneo di magnitudo 6.6, quindi più forte sia di quelle di mercoledì 26 ottobre che della notte del 24 Agosto ad Amatrice. Restiamo in attesa dei dati INGV e di info dalle zone più colpite. Intanto a Roma e Firenze s’è scatenato il panico.

Italian experts warn of more quakes

Italy’s major risks commission cautioned Friday that there may be more powerful earthquakes to come following two this week in the country’s mountainous centre and a deadly one in August.“There is no current evidence that the (seismic) sequence underway is coming to an end,” it warned.The National Commission for the Forecast and Prevention of Major Risks(CGR) said that in the wake of the August 24 quake that killed nearly 300 people it had identified three areas at risk for further seismic activity.
