Dopo il tiramisù, il dolce al cucchiaio italiano dalle origini più controverse è certamente la zuppa inglese. Lo avrete capito, l’Inghilterra non c’entra nulla o quasi: la zuppa inglese è dolce italianissimo, particolarmente diffuso in Emilia-Romagna, in Toscana e nel resto del Centro Italia. La classica ricetta per la preparazione della zuppa inglese prevede uno strato di pan di Spagna o savoiardi imbevuti di alchemers, uno di crema al cacao, un altro di pan di Spagna o savoiardi e alchemers e uno di crema pasticciera, con o senza gocce di cioccolato. Ma, come vedremo, le varianti sono molte.

Nutella has fought back over claims that it 'could cause cancer'

Ferrero, the maker of Nutella, has hit back at claims that palm oil used in their hazelnut and chocolate spreads could cause cancer.In May, the European Food Standards Authority warned that the contaminants found in the oil’s edible form are carcinogenic. It warned that even moderate consumption of the substances represented a risk to children and said that, due to a lack of definitive data, no level could be considered safe.
