Bruce Springsteen gigs confirmed in Rome and Milan

American rocker Bruce Springsteen is set to perform in both Milan and Rome in July.The Milan concert will take place at the San Siro stadium on July 3rd, before the singer heads up to Rome for a July 16th gig at Circus Maximus.It had previously been reported that the concert at the ancient chariot racing stadium would take place on May 14th.

Italiaanse vervalsers olijfolie gepakt

ROME - De Italiaanse politie heeft een bende vervalsers opgepakt en bij diverse invallen 2000 ton ‘foute’ olijfolie in beslag genomen. De acht verdachten deden het voorkomen alsof de olie van Italiaanse olijven was gemaakt, maar in werkelijkheid zaten er vruchten uit Spanje en Griekenland in verwerkt.

De olie had op papier een waarde van zo'n 13 miljoen euro. De invallen en arrestaties van de operatie 'Mamma Mia’ waren in de regio’s Calabrië en Apulië.

Gesjoemel met olijfolie komt vaker voor in Italië. Vorig jaar begon justitie in Turijn tegen diverse producenten een zaak omdat ze minderwaardige olie aan de man brachten als olie van de eerste persing.

E nella bottiglia di falso Moet & Chandon, cosa c’era al posto del francesissimo Champagne? Secondo le analisi della Guardia di Finanza, le 9.000 bottiglie sequestrate contenevano dell’onesto vino bianco spumantizzato, tant’è che non verranno distrutte, ma regalate ad alcune associazioni locali (?).

Sono un po’ simili agli gnocchi alla sorrentina ma ci sembrano anche più golosi. Antonella Clerici assaggia e suggerisce di aggiungere un pizzico di sale in più perché con la ricotta nell’impasto gli gnocchi possono risultare un po’ dolci. Ryanair to cut 600 jobs in Italy due to 'damaging' tax hike

The Irish low-cose airline, Ryanair, lambasted the Italian government on Tuesday over new passenger tax hikes, saying it will now be forced to close two of its bases in Italy and cut 600 jobs.The company said in a statement that 16 flight routes would also be lost as a result of the “illogical decision of the Italian government to raise municipal taxes further”.From January 1st, the government raised taxes by about 40 percent (from €6.50 to €9) for each passenger departing from Italy in order to subsidize a fund set up for pilots laid off as a result of the merger between Alitalia and Abu Dhabi’s Etihad.David O’Brien, Ryanair’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the Italian government was “shooting itself in the foot”, especially after a record year for tourism in Europe.

Viva Italia zal in 2016 terugkeren op pinksterzondag 15 Mei op het TT Circuit van Assen.

Die dag zal dan ook in het teken staan van al het mooie Italiaanse geweld wat je kan inbeelden, van Ferrari tot Fiat en van Lamborghini tot Lancia.

Zorg er dus voor dat je erbij bent. 

Opnieuw vindt de Super Car Sunday plaats op dezelfde dag op een apart gedeelte van de paddock, dus ontzettend veel te zien en te bewonderen in Assen.
