I’d like to take this opportunity to, in our weekly blog, this Tuesday introduce one of my favorite Italian regions. “Le Marche” – or “Marche” or “Marches”, as it is sometimes called in English – is a region in the heart of Italy, bordering with an astounding number of other regions, namely Umbria, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Lazio, Emilia-Romagna and the republic of San Marino.
It is a region where one can find absolutely everything one can possibly be interested in: tall mountains, the seaside, excellent cuisine, walking trails, caves, fields of flowers, forests, vineyards, food artisans and much, much more.
