This former Franciscan monastery was built in 1614 and comes with seven hectares of woodland. Today the building is in a state of ruin, but it has immense potential. The cloister is surrounded by a portico decorated with a series of frescoes depicting episodes from the life of St Francis. This is a ‘doer-upper’ and while extensive rebuilding and restoration is needed, it also has the potential to become whatever you dream for it, whether that’s a cultural complex, rental holiday accommodation, hotel, restaurant, rest home or even school.
